Tavis and I went to find coffee and discovered that the only coffee shop open before 9:00 is on deck 6. They also had really good cinnamon rolls though.

We met up with the kids at 10:00am at the skating rink. It was small but it was also real ice with real ice skates. The ice was in rough shape, but the skates were quite sharp. It was pretty cool to be ice skating on a ship in the Caribbean.

We learned that apparently at 1:00am, the crew starts scanning kids cruise cards and if they are under 18 they get sent to bed! Haha, so us parents don’t have to set a verge, the cruise ship does that for us. Ayva and her gang learned how to dodge them and Addison is old enough that it didn’t affect him. It will be interesting to hear what Ari does tonight.

At 10:45 we went to the buffet to get some breakfast. It was quite busy but Ayva managed to get us a table.

After breakfast we went to a Math Trivia and a Murder Mystery game. We weren’t all that great at either of them but it was still fun. After our trivia we went for a nap before meeting the kids to try and sneak into Wizard of Oz without a reservation. We reserved for tomorrow but none of us were doing anything so it was worth a try. Apparently they stop scanning tickets about 10 minutes before the show starts. We had no trouble getting in and finding seats. The show was almost 2 hours long! It was pretty good.

While we were at the show Addison got a call in his room from Giovanni’s saying we had a complimentary dinner for 2 at 6:00pm from our travel agent. What a nice surprise! We told the kids they were on their own for our 7:15pm reservation as we enjoyed our early dinner at the specialty restaurant. Goldi was our waiter and the entire staff was super friendly. We had really good rolls and Tavis got calamari for his appetizer. For entrees, Tavis ordered veal and I ordered lasagna. Goldi also brought a filet mignon which we happily shared. For dessert, Tavis got a cannoli and I ordered the chocolate ravioli. We also got complimentary limoncello which I discovered was a very potent liquor. Tavis enjoyed both of ours 😂. By the time we finished, we both felt like we should be rolled out like bowling balls.

We had a nap after dinner and just after 8:00 we checked in on the family chat. Ayva got seats at the skating show (Starburst: Elemental Beauty) and told us to come. Our reservations were for later in the cruise but now we understand that you don’t need reservations, it is just a way to thin out the crowd. The show was actually quite amazing. The lights and costumes were unbelievable and so was the skill on the ice. We all enjoyed it.

After skating everybody split. We tried to catch the comedy but we were a few minutes late and the doors were closed so we met Addison, Ayva, and her friend Andres up on deck 16 for a game of mini golf. The difference on a new ship is that the mini golf course is still in tact and it was well done. I definitely want to play some more games. I also like that they use soft golf balls, which is nice incase anyone gets nailed in the forehead (hasn’t happened this cruise yet😂). It was also not busy at all.

Tavis and I wandered along the decks and sat in a chair after while we waited for the late comedy show at 11:30pm. We learned that they scan everyone but it isn’t for reservations… it is for the age requirement. There is no sneaking kids in on this ship. Oh well. The last comedian did a bit on teenagers and he had us in stitches. It was hilarious.

We got back to our room at 12:30am and showered and finally got to bed. It was a long day but it was great. I definitely love this ship. There are a lot of people but it really isn’t that crowded. We haven’t had too much trouble finding places to sit or eat. The trick is to not go during the rush.

This morning we slept in until 8:00!
