Chai Tea


  • 1 pot of water
  • 2 tea bags
  • 6-7 whole green cardamon seeds
  • 2-3 whole black cardamon seeds
  • 2 whole cinnamon stick
  • 1 tsp cloves (whole)
  • 1 cup milk
  • sugar (to taste)

A spicy hot beverage which is relaxing after a long day. Almost a nightly ritual in our house. This recipe has been adapted over time to suit our taste and measuring is not often done. We usually go by our mood.

Servings:3 or 4 cups


  1. In a large pot, mix water, spices, and tea. Bring to a boil.
  2. Add milk.
  3. Boil 5 minutes.
