French Silk Chocolate


  • 3/4 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 1/2 cup white corn syrup
  • 1/3 cup water
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • 2 cups whipping cream
  • 2 litres milk

A yummy drink on a cold day.

  1. In small saucepan, on low heat, combine chocolate chips, syrup, water, and vanilla. Heat, stirring often until smooth and all chocolate is melted.
  2. Refrigerate until cold.
  3. In medium bowl, beat whipping cream until beginning to thicken. Add chocolate mixture gradually while continuing to beat. Beat until it mounds. Chill.
  4. Heat milk in saucepan. Pour into mug. Add chocolate mixture to taste. 1 c usually equals about 4 heaping tbsp.


I haven't tried this recipe in a long time. I don't know how accurate the timing is.
