Pie Crust


  • 1 lb tenderflake
  • 5 cups flour
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1 tsp salt (optional)
  • 3 tsp brown sugar (packed)
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 tbsp vinegar

  1. In a large bowl, using a pastry tool, mix lard, flour, baking powder, salt, and brown sugar.
  2. In a measuring cup, beat egg and vinegar. Add water to make 3/4 c.
  3. Add wet ingredients to dry ingredients and mix.
  4. When rolling dough, place lots of flour on surface and rolling pin.
