Yogurt Scones


  • 2 cups flour
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 cup butter or margarine
  • 2 tbsp sugar
  • 1 tbsp baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp baking soda
  • 1 cup yogurt

Yummy scones that are easy to make and a breakfast favourite in the Glaude family. They are great with jam and can be toasted the next day.

Ready In:30 min


  1. Beat butter and sugar.
  2. Add yogurt.
  3. Combine flour, salt, baking powder, and baking soda to yogurt mixture.
  4. Form a ball, then divide into 3 pieces.
  5. Roll out onto floured surface, approximately 1″ thickness and cut with cookie cutter.
  6. Place on greased cookie sheet.
  7. Bake at 425 for 12-14 minutes.


If making for dinner you could reduce sugar to 1 tbsp. Use flavoured yogurt for an added flavour.
