{"id":68,"date":"2015-05-21T20:11:23","date_gmt":"2015-05-22T03:11:23","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/tcraik.com\/wordpress\/?p=68"},"modified":"2024-04-18T11:16:17","modified_gmt":"2024-04-18T18:16:17","slug":"on-my-own","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/tcraik.com\/wordpress\/blog\/on-my-own\/","title":{"rendered":"On My Own"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">This was my first day home alone.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>I got up at 7:00am to see my oldest son off to the school track meet.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>I was tired but tried to stay up and tidy the house.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>Around 9:30am I had an episode that lasted about 10 minutes.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">A friend stopped by for a visit which was great. We had tea and chatted for a while. I had another short episode while she was over. My daughter came home at lunch and after she went back to school my husband came home early so we could go see our son compete in his District Track Meet. We got there a bit late on a hot and sunny day.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>I had to walk very quickly to make it in time.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>When we arrived we saw friends at the gate so I stood at the fence with them. <\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">A few moments later I had another episode. I laid down just in time. I was able to open my eyes after a few seconds and talk but it took about 5 minutes before I could move my toes again.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 My<\/span>\u00a0friend helped explain to people that I wasn&#8217;t dehydrated and that I was alright but everyone nearby was very helpful. <\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">This was my last daily episode.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>Throughout June and most of July I had very few episodes and was able to get back into normal routines. I took the kids on bike rides, spent time at the lake, went swimming and hiking.
