Nuts and Bolts

Ingredients

  • 2 lb margarine
  • 2 x 675g Shreddies
  • 2 x 425g Cheerioes
  • 2 boxes Crispex
  • 4 x 225g pretzel sticks
  • 680g peanuts without skin
  • 680g peanuts with skin
  • 3 tsp marjoram
  • 3 tbsp seasoning salt
  • 3 tsp summer savoury
  • 3 tsp bbq spice
  • 3 tsp garlic powder
  • 1.5 tsp onion powder

These are Tavis' favourite snack at Christmas.


Preheat:250° F
Prep Time:20 min
Cook Time:3 hr
Ready In:3 hr 30 min
Servings:lots

Directions

  1. Melt margarine.
  2. Add spices and mix well.
  3. In clean sink, mix all dry ingredients together.
  4. Add butter/spice mix to dry ingredients.
  5. Hand toss until all ingredients are coated.
  6. Toast in 9×13 shallow pan at 250&deg F for one hour. Mix approximately every 20 minutes.
  7. Store in a plastic bag.
